  • Rides are arranged by appointment only, with a one-hour minimum wait.

  • Outreach Transportation Services operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Fees for service are calculated by distance traveled. Please call (208) 265-8618 or email outreachsandpoint@gmail.com and we would be happy to give you a quote. Prices charged are for loaded miles only. We do not charge for the time that our client is not in the vehicle.

  • One friend, family member or caregiver is welcome to ride along at no additional charge.

  • Our driver will wait for up to two hours for our client with a doctor’s appointment or procedure at no additional charge. If a longer wait time is required, it is still at no additional charge, but those arrangements will need to be made when the appointment is booked.

  • We will never abandon a client anywhere. Ever. Our job is not complete until our client reaches their final destination safely.

  • Payment will be accepted at the completion of the journey. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. We do not bill Medicare, Medicaid or any other insurance policy.

  • Our vehicle is a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan that was custom-outfitted for wheelchair access by Golden West Mobility in Spokane. It features a rear-load, ADA-compliant, heavy duty ramp that is strong enough to handle a motorized wheelchair or scooter, heavy duty wheelchair tie-downs and a separate restraint system for the passenger.

  • The Outreach van can accommodate one motorized wheelchair or scooter or up to two standard wheelchairs at one time, with the front seat available for a family member or caregiver. We have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit and other safety equipment in the vehicle at all times.

  • The safety of our clients and drivers is paramount. All passengers must be able to sit safely and comfortably in either the front seat of the van or in a wheelchair and remain there with a safety restraint in place for the duration of the trip. If either cognitive or physical impairments make this impossible, then alternative transportation arrangements will need to be made.

  • We have one wheelchair which can accommodate a passenger up to 300 pounds which we can provide for the duration of the trip only, at no additional charge.

  • All Outreach drivers are certified in First Aid and CPR, but beyond this, we are not licensed to provide any medical care. If a medical emergency occurs enroute to the destination, our driver will either proceed directly to the closest hospital emergency department or find a safe place to pull over and call 911, whichever will get the necessary care to the patient the fastest.

  • Our service is to provide transportation door-to-door. And while our mission is to always ensure that our clients reach their destination safely and comfortably, if there is any lifting or moving to be done at the end of the trip, that will remain the responsibility of the family or caregiver. If you or a loved one has an appointment at a physician’s office or hospital, our driver will be happy to accompany you inside and wait until you get where you need to go.

  • We are a small, family-owned and operated business with deep ties to the community. If you have a special situation or need that you do not see listed here, please do not hesitate to call anytime. We will be happy to discuss it with you and will make every effort to fulfill your requirements.
